This policy explains what information Sober PnP collects, how it is stored and used, and the choices you have. Sober PnP is operated by RepoSignal.io LLC (“we,” “us”). Sober PnP is a private journaling and recovery-support tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.
Your journal entries and attached photos are encrypted at rest using strong encryption before they are written to storage, and all data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) in transit. Data is stored on secured servers located in the United States, operated by our cloud hosting provider. We restrict internal access to your data and review changes to our code and infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we aim to protect your information using practices appropriate to how personal it is.
Because Sober PnP supports recovery, the information you choose to record may reveal sensitive details about your health and personal life. We treat this as sensitive personal information: we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we limit our own access to it. We are not a healthcare provider, and Sober PnP is not a HIPAA-covered service — but we aim to handle your information with care appropriate to how personal it is. You are always in control of what you write, and you can delete it at any time.
We share information only with the limited service providers needed to run the app. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your journal content with anyone for their own purposes. Our providers are:
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the security of the service.
If you attach photos to entries, we use your device’s camera or photo library only for photos you choose to add. Those photos are encrypted and stored with your account, shown back only to you, and deleted when you delete the entry or your account.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists and you use the app. When you delete your account, your entries, photos, and profile are permanently removed from the live system. Backups are rotated and expire over time.
You are in control of your information. You can:
Depending on where you live (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA, and residents of other states with privacy laws), you may have rights to access, delete, correct, or restrict use of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise any right, use the in-app deletion/export or contact us; we will not deny you service for making a request.
Sober PnP is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Sober PnP is currently offered only in the United States. We do not intend to offer it to, or collect data from, residents of the European Union or other regions, so region-specific frameworks such as the GDPR are not designed into this service.
To determine a visitor's country we look up the IP address against an offline database on our own server — no third-party geolocation service receives your address. IP Geolocation by DB-IP.
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
